One petrol engine and one diesel option comprise the range of engines for the modernised versions of the Octavia and the Octavia Combi.

A petrol option is the 1.6 MPI engine with a power output of 75 kW. It can be combined with a standard fully-synchronized five-speed mechanical transmission or six-speed automatic gearbox.

Diesel lovers can choose the turbo direct-injection engine 1.9 TDI PD with a output of 77 kW. This engine can be combined with the new six-speed double-clutch DSG automatic gearbox.

Petrol Engine

With the 1.6 MPI/75 kW four-cylinder petrol engine, the Octavia reaches a maximum speed of 190 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 12.3 seconds.

Diesel Engine

The tried-and-tested 1.9 TDI PD/77 kW four-cylinder turbo diesel engine with a pump-jet fuel injection system reaches a maximum speed of 192 km/h.

Mechanical Gearbox

For the modernised Octavia model the standard is a classic and proven five-speed mechanical gearbox, which enables easy gear shifting.

Automatic Gearboxes

In the range of automatic gearboxes is, in addition to the current classic six-speed automatic gearbox, also the six-speed double-clutch DSG automatic gearbox.
