Your Safety
– an area where we make no compromises

Increases in the standard of passive and active safety are the subject of constant, maximum attention.

In the field of the safety of passengers and others involved in road traffic we make no compromises and you can only find the most advanced technology in our cars!

This is shown by the fact that the Octavia in the basic equipment version Classic contains, for example, an electronic ESP stabilisation system, including the cooperating systems ABS, EBV, MSR, ASR, EDS, HBA, DSR and ESBS! In addition the basic equipment includes airbags for the driver and front passenger, side front and head airbags or deactivation of the front passenger airbag.

The new Octavia is also equiped with three-point adjustable front seatbelts, three three-point seatbelts in the back, a fourth generation immobiliser, safety lights on the panelling of the front doors, a system that automatically closes off the fuel supply in case of an accident and other important safety elements.

ESP Stabilisation System

The ESP electronic stabilisation system is one of the most advanced safety elements, together with the  ABS, EBV, MSR, ASR, EDS, HBA, DSR and ESBS systems. And, although for many competing makes it is still an accessory only for more luxurious versions, the Octavia offers it in the Classic version.

Headrests

In addition to the solid structure of the body and seatbelts, the highest possible degree of protection for the passengers is provided by new, more effective headrests with the WOKS system in the front seats and three adjustable headrests for passengers in the rear.

Airbags

Airbags are among the most important safety elements. The new Octavia provides passengers with the maximum extent of protection in the basic version, as it has airbags for the driver and front passenger, as well as side airbags in the front and head airbags.

Three-point seatbelts

Three-point adjustable seatbelts on all seats (on the front seats also with tighteners) are a matter of course in the Octavia cars. These are very important elements of safety equipment along with the airbags, in particular.
