Space and power

One of the Superb’ values is its extraordinary spaciousness.

For example, the space for passengers’ legs in the back in comparison with the previous generation increased by a total of 19 mm and the volume of the luggage space rose to 565 litres.

Atop car undoubtedly needs a strong engine. The offer includes one petrol and one diesel engine combined with the automatic, resp. manual gearbox.

Both of them, the petrol four-cylinder 1.8 TSI/118 kW engine and the supercharged four-cylinder 1.9 TDI PD/77 kW engine, will meet all your expectations and demands.

Petrol engine

The petrol four-cylinder 1.8 TSI with a power output of 118 kW reaches a torque of 250 Nm between 1800 and 4500 revs. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds.

Diesel engine

The supercharged four-cylinder 1.9 TDI PD diesel engine with a pump-nozzle system and a power output of 77 kW is available for those, who prefer diesel to petrol.

Manual gearbox

The five-speed manual gearbox is characterised by the precise shift gate with precisely defined short gear lever travel. Combined with optimal gear lever length and shape, shifting gears is very simple. This transmission is offered with the 1.9 TDI PD/77 kW engine.

Automatic gearboxes

An automatic dual-clutch DSG gearbox (Direct Shift Gearbox) links the benefits of mechanical and standard automatic transmissions. There is the new automatic seven-gear DSG gearbox offered with the 1.8 TSI/118 kW engine.
